What helps most

If you have the part
Photographs from several angles, including any broken or missing areas, plus the overall length, width and height. Keep every fragment — more of the original geometry means less interpretation.
If you have a model
STL is fine for printing. Send STEP if the part may need modifying, because it preserves real solid geometry we can edit rather than a fixed mesh.
If you have only an idea
A sketch, a photograph or a description is enough to start. Tell us what the part has to do, what it has to fit, and the conditions it works in.

If it will not work

Some parts are not suited to these processes — high structural loads, sustained heat, or tolerances tighter than the process can hold. We will tell you that rather than quote for it and hope.
