Engineering
that answers

We are a mechanical engineering consultancy in Siyambalape, working across Colombo and island-wide. Most of our work begins with somebody holding a broken part and being told it cannot be replaced.

MechaCAD Solutions covers mechanical design, CAD modelling, 3D scanning, 3D printing, reverse engineering, laser cutting and PLC-based automation. That list looks broad for a small consultancy, and it is deliberate: those services are the stages of one job, not six separate businesses.

A part gets measured, modelled, checked and made. When those stages sit with different suppliers, the gaps between them are where projects stall — the scan arrives in a format the modeller cannot use, the model is not manufacturable by the process available, the part comes back and nobody owns the fit. Keeping the whole chain in one place removes that class of problem entirely.

We work for automotive workshops and vehicle owners, manufacturers, product startups, universities and signage firms. The jobs range from a single clip that immobilised a car to a production run of several hundred parts, and the same discipline applies to both: measure properly, model properly, check before manufacturing.

If the process does not suit your part, we will say so rather than quote for it. That is cheaper for everyone than finding out after the fact.

Where the part is

Not everything can be brought to a workshop. Large industrial components get measured where they stand, on the plant floor, with the surrounding equipment and the real mounted position part of the capture rather than an assumption made later.

Bring us the problem.

A part, a process, or just an idea. Tell us the situation and we will tell you the engineering route to solving it — honestly, even if that route isn't us.
